Love this pod.
Christian and Neal are awesome. Love 80’s horror, this is it ❤️
Grody to the Max is a fun, entertaining, and insightful commentary from two very talented individuals on 1980s horror movies. Neal’s historical film insight coupled with Christian’s psychological background makes for a very engaging and intelligent banter of their thoughts, criticisms, and commentary. I would highly recommend for all ... more
The hosts are naturals and have great chemistry. The best compliment I can give is I don’t really care about 1980 horror movies, but they converted me.

A nostalgic deep-dive into 1980s horror, guided by a returning host and a rotating panel of guest co-hosts. Episodes explore a mix of personal recollections, production trivia, and sharp cultural critique across a wide slate of cult classics, with special attention to practical effects, era-specific filmmaking quirks, and the broader impact of the decade on horror cinema. A standout trait is the show's year-by-year, cradle-to-grave approach to 80s horror, often pairing veteran actors, directors, and theater-tied guests with hosting banter that blends thoughtful analysis with playful humor. This combination makes it attractive to fans seeking both scholarly context and enthusiastic, accessible banter about beloved, offbeat, or overlooked tit... more
