On Armistice Day, LAURA PERRINS is joined by Ronan McGreevy of the Irish Times to discuss the history of Irish soldiers in British wars, the relationship between Collins and Churchill, the controversies over poppy wearing, and more:

This week, Ben and Jason rant and rave about institutional failures and shortcomings, from the BBC to RTÉ and everywhere in between.

In this week's edition, John and Sarah reflect on Simon Harris's newfound conversion to "far right" views on immigration, the demise of Ivan Yates, the miserable state of the health service, and the latest opinion poll trends.

Laura is once more joined by Frank Haviland of The New Conservative. They review recent events in the UK, where immigration policy is making Labour the least popular government in history, and shocking crimes appear weekly:

  • Common sense is finally getting more common

Thank you Gript, just can’t get enough of you guys. So grateful for your regular doses of no frills, common sense chats. Great rapport between you all and highly entertaining and informative. As an Irish woman living in UK, with my head in my hands most of the time, as I see the dangerous path the country is going down, it’s a huge relief to see the fightback has begun and we’ve just won our first battle, with the resounding No/No results. Keep up the excellent work.

  • Valuable perspective on Irish affairs

Important to listen in order to find out what is really going on in Ireland. Ireland’s mainstream media is very woke, speaks with one voice and ignores anything and everything that does not agree with its markedly left wing perspective. Anybody that asks questions or tries to get at the truth of things is labelled right wing.

  • A bulwark against the MSM

I don’t listen to all the Gript podcasts but the Weekly Round Up is essential listening as it takes the temperature on the political and social landscape in Ireland and beyond its borders. It’s is refreshing to have different opinions and it is vital listening even if you may disagree with the opinions voiced. Get out of the goldfish bowl!
