    GovEx is a great way to learn more about how data is being used in local government. Would love to see improved sound quality (maybe hosts could be closer to the mics) so the topic points can be better heard and absorbed. Love the diversity of ideas and experiences being shared.

Q: How do you see GENAI changing the role of CDOs and the structure of government tech teams in the future?
GENAI will be broadly accessible and embedded in tools, which will require new governance and ethics frameworks, a shift away from IT-centric risk controls, and a rethinking of where GENAI belongs within government, beyond traditional silos.

Q: So how did you decide what to prioritize when you arrived in San Francisco and established the data program?
