  • Pencast or comedy show? 🤔

Azizah and Candace attempt to discuss fountain pens, nibbage, and stationery; much hilarity ensues. I would listen to ANY topic they choose but I’m glad they enlighten me on things happening on their writing instrument journey.

Sorry Azizah but I’m Team Candace with fine/extra fine nibs (for now?).

Search for the YouTube episodes; the duo (and infrequent cameos by Chi) are even funnier on screen.

Azizah thanks for interviewing Drew Brown, it’s good to see him. Great discussion and I appreciat... more

  • Such a Wonderful Escape

I just discovered this podcast and am totally addicted to this duo’s positive and enthusiastic energy. There rapport is so uplifting, and I find my face smiling continuously whilst listening. I would recommend this podcast to any pen or ink lover - there is no pomp or pretentiousness, it is truly refreshing. Although I would listen to these wonderfully intelligent humans no matter what the subject, their respect for materials, makers and creators, and, real-life experience within the industry, ... more

  • Easily the most fun Pen/Stationary podcast!

Oh my GOD, this show! Candace and Azizah are so much fun together; not only does their endearing devotion to fountain pens come through, but they make me laugh out loud literally every episode.

One thing I particularly appreciate about them is that, although they agree on some things, they also differ in opinion in a fun and interesting way, ie. for Azizah, the broader the nib, the better, whereas Candace is all about those fines and extra fines. It makes for much more interesting conversati... more

I do live streams on Monday nights on YouTube, and 9 p.m. Eastern, we hang out, we chat.
Episode 76 - Philly Pen Show Recap & InCoWriMo
Q: Do you guys ever do this?
I did. I did it for two years. I had to stop.
Episode 63 - Achieve Nirvana by getting a Baby (pen)
Q: Why bother with fountain pens when they're inconsistent, unreliable, and messy?
The writing experience in a fountain pen is worth the messiness and unreliability; it is a hobby that brings joy.
Episode 52 - Changes in Personal Pen Purchasing Criteria
Q: Have your buying criteria changed over the years?
Yes, I now look for pens that I can eyedropper.
Episode 34 - Paper Talk
Q: Do you really think it's realistic that somebody could have one or two pens and that's it?
While it's possible for non-enthusiasts, for those who love fountain pens, one or two isn't realistic because the hobby often leads to a desire for more due to the variety in inks and papers.
