The two biggest hacks in golf…. They bring nothing to the table say so many things that are factually incorrect it’s almost laughable
This show has joined the list of “automatic download” sports podcasts on my phone — and it’s a short list of 2, when it comes to golf. (The other being “Fairway Rollin.”) I’ll check in on “The Fried Egg” during the 4 major weeks, and I’ll always listen to Scott Van Pelt after the Masters. But Rex & Lav are not just good reporters, but they’ve also become podcast “personalities” — by just being themselves. It also makes me more interested, whenever they do Golf Channel TV appearances. What is up with the audio balance? Lav is normal but Rex is so faint that you either have to not hear Rex or hurt your ears when Lav speaks.
Happy Birthday Rex 6/11/25

Golf-focused discussions blend sharp analysis with accessible banter, covering current tours, scheduling, and major decisions shaping professional golf. Episodes frequently unpack player movements between tours, sponsorship dynamics, and tournament formats, often weaving in on-site perspectives from reporters and frequent guests. The tone is insider and opinionated, with a bias toward deep-dive strategy, tour economics, and the human stories behind big rounds and headlines. A standout aspect is the long-running on-air chemistry between two seniorGolf Channel writers, which provides both historical context and candid, sometimes provocative viewpoints that can spark strong engagement from golf fans, sponsors, and potential guests.
