  • Disappointing liberal zionist partisan analysis

I listened to the latest episode with Joel Braunold and actually disappointment underplays how I feel. Mark did not challenge any of the false analysis made by Braunold. This is despite easily sourced connections to zionist organisations and the state of israel. I thought this podcast upheld neutrality and independence but what we get are partisan skewed analyses. I’ve unfollowed.

  • Word choice matters.

Odd to say we should “celebrate” funding wars… the free world must be victorious, and might does not equal right - but what a weird choice of words to use in reference to war. However I’m guessing due to this opinion I’ll be labeled as a “far-right MAGA” ideologue, right?

  • Disappointingly Naive

Only recently came to this podcast.

So, this review is primarily a response to the podcast on the China-USA relationship, as evidenced by the proposed actions against TikTok.

Will listen to more episodes in the future, hopefully with better insight.

  • Excellent Africa analysis

Its rare to find long form in depth reporting on events in Africa. This podcast regularly devotes entire episodes to African news and generally offers a good perspective for listeners who dont normally deep dive into it

What Americans Really Think About Foreign Policy
Q: Is there like a meaningful partisan divide on China and what does that look like?
Most Democrats and Republicans see China as a challenge, but Republicans view it as a greater threat and are less supportive of cooperating with China.
What Americans Really Think About Foreign Policy
Q: What were the elements of those consensus?
There has long been consensus in support of an active US role in the world, with about 60 percent of Americans favoring it even during the Trump era.
Civil War Has Returned to South Sudan
Q: What events might suggest how this conflict might unfold?
Observe the capital of Jonglei, Bor; if conflict escalates there, it could quickly threaten Juba due to the proximity of their transportation routes.
Civil War Has Returned to South Sudan
Q: What can be done to try to put an end to this before it gets worse?
De-escalation is needed, with regional leaders engaging to stop hostilities and a new larger framework for peace negotiations should be established.
Civil War Has Returned to South Sudan
Q: What has happened in South Sudan to create that kind of rhetorical shift from a precipice to the civil war to an onset of a civil war?
The tipping point was reached with the recent offensive by opposition forces following the arrest of Riek Machar, leading to renewed fighting and strategic territorial gains by the opposition.
