  • Essential show.

This podcast is a goldmine for anyone wanting to explore the world of electronic and experimental music. Informative, generous and compelling. My gateway episode was 106 with Sarah Angliss. Now I can’t get enough of this show. Thank you!

  • Much more than knob-twiddling - give it a listen!

I’ve listened to this podcast since it began, and love the breadth of material that Isobel covers. From practical music production tips to female musicians / producers sharing their stories and advice, to deep dives into dealing with the psychological issues that keep female musicians from achieving success - it’s all there.

I think my favourite episode is the latest one, about running a music PR campaign. (#104, I think?) So much useful advice - I need to re-listen with a notepad and pen at ha... more

  • Feeling seen

Just listened to the 100th episode and when you spoke about being dyslexic and having struggled with music theory and reading music, I felt so seen. • Empowering on all levels

Isobel’s podcast is not only well produced and calming because her voice is so soothing to listen to. The advice she spreads here are invaluable. I’m pretty late to the party of producing my own or somebody else’s music. Thus, I was looking into expanding my knowledge and learning from the professionals and looking up podcasts which led me here. I’m so glad and am now going to listen to all of the episodes. Episode 2 was my first, with Victoria as a guest, and that got me hooked and gave me cour... more

  • Intentional, affirming, practical and Joyous

I love this podcast! I’m slowly making my way through the back catalogue and am continually struck by the careful, respectful and empathic way Isobel interviews guests. I also love the breadth of different practices highlighted in the show, and GTK’s clarity of purpose re: elevating, empowering, enabling and celebrating the particular struggles and creative practices of women, non-binary people and trans women in music studios. The show is like a constant kindly presence reminding me to HIT REC... more
