Ladies - when you go to make a “poignant” statement, please do NOT drop the volume of your voice. We can NOT hear you. Again please do NOT drop your voice.

Mean girl vibes. I sincerely hope LG’s team (or any other celebrity) sees through them, thoroughly vetting to consider another amazing GG podcast hosted by other more humble women, than choose this one, should LG go on a podcast again (or other celebrities.)

  • Enjoyable when it’s new content

Ok I love both girls but I don’t know if I quite enjoy the pod as much as I used to. I’ve been listening since the beginning and still love to put on an episode when I’m at the gym, doing laundry etc. It’s just the way the content has changed for me like the Gilmore to say episodes used to be longer and more focused on the actual topics. I just loved the engagement with the audience and it feels just not as much a priority. Personally I prefer to listen to new original episodes rather than Gilm... more

The person who says “um” does not read reviews either, so how seriously do these girls consider feedback if committed to improving their skills? However, I have noticed less use of this filler word of late, so maybe they’ve reevaluated thei... more

  • Great perspectives, very chatty

I love the two hosts’ opinions and rapport! I’ve listened to all of the episodes twice through and am on my third relisten.

One gripe I have is that Tara talks so much when they have a guest on! Let the guest talk more!

Fix the audio! The ads are SO MUCH LOUDER than the podcast. Also Tara’s audio is louder than Haley’s for the first few seasons

  • Love these girlies!

This is my favorite podcast. I love that Tara and Haley always find something more to say about this show. Their merch is also the CUTEST! I hope they make many more episodes!

Update: love the recent episode “he’s my Dean”. Please make more episodes of the pod where you go in depth on specific scenes. 💕

Gilmore To Read: Sarah Dessen Has A Change of Plans For Us
Q: What drew you to write about Finley and Change Of Plans in particular?
Sarah explains that she wanted to explore a character whose plans unravel and to focus on Finley's discovery of family, memory, and self in a lake town, using that derailment to reveal growth and resilience.
Gilmore To Read: Sasha Peyton Smith Loves A Love Triangle
Q: Why did you choose a love triangle in The Rose Bargain, and how does it function within the story?
The love triangle serves to explore different versions of the heroine's self—whether she leans toward ambition and risk or toward safety and tradition—and to dramatize how the choices reveal character, while keeping the stakes personal and emotionally compelling.
Gilmore To Read: Sasha Peyton Smith Loves A Love Triangle
Q: What was the very first idea you had for The Rose Bargain?
The very first idea was imagining the Queen of England as a fairy and how a mystical, magical framework could drive a sisterly story with a strong, independent heroine at its center, which then evolved into a broader fairy bargain mythology.
Gilmore To Read: Jess, Jamie, Jordan, and Julian Winters
Q: What inspired you to move from writing YA to adult romance, and how did your agent influence that shift?
The agent nudged me to try something beyond YA after realizing I had more stories to tell in that space, which led me to start drafting adult romance and eventually publish in that category.
The Incredible Cold Opens of Gilmore Girls
Q: What makes a really good cold open?
A good cold open can either be short and quippy or longer and more informative, often featuring clever dialogue that either ties into the episode or stands on its own.
