Throughout the late 1950’s and 60’s, the comedy duo of (Marty) Allen & (Steve) Rossi performed to sold-out Vegas crowds, recorded best-selling comedy albums and made hundreds of TV appearances (44 of them on “The Ed Sullivan Show"). Sadly, Steve Ross... more

Today I was listening to the interview they did with Chris Lemmon and Charlie Matthau, and honestly, it's the only time I've listened to an interview and felt that the folks involved really knew their stuff. They weren't just interviewing celebrities for the sake of interviewing. They were true film fans.
Frank is an incessant lip-smacker. It’s all sucking slurping sounds before he says anything, which makes the show hard to listen to, unfortunately. Gilbert was perfect.
Pure goddamn fried gold. Every single second.
Sad to no longer have Gilbert with us, and very glad they keep uploading encores of his old episodes. You don't know what you have until it's gone.
Frank’s new solo podcast is nothing short of terrific. (In fact, not short at all; some of them go on for hours.) Truly interesting conversation, great flippant banter with his hilarious guests, plus pop culture obsessions we can all relate to. And is there anything Frank doesn’t know about? The man has his own Wikipedia lodged inside his skull. What a terrific show!
