Helen’s trialling some experimental performance art for reasons that nobody is entirely sure about, Dave’s got a big guest-booking task ahead of him for next week, and we critically review foreign dubbing actors for quite some time.

Dave has big news to report from his holiday in Cornwall, Helen’s got a new chair, and Tom…well Tom isn’t here. Because he’s at a school open day, of course. We also learn about Helen’s ultimate acting goal, and the gang learn an incredible new fact ... more
Tom’s hungover today after his annual trip to the pub, we discuss our favourite bath products (no, really), and Helen has a new phone which has caused havoc with the Whatsapp Agenda this week…

Helen’s offended the actor Jim Carter, Tom’s unwittingly taken on a new lifestyle by virtue of his trousers, and Dave’s been to the wrestling. What a week we've had.

We are BACK BABY. Cabin and other non-cabin related conversation is on the agenda, plus Helen has some issues in the organisation arena. Plus how much does Basil Brush charge a business for a message? And there are MANY WhatsApp agendas to be worked ... more
Who do we think we are having guest hosts like we’re This Morning or something? But as Dave and Tom are away, Helen’s roped in her Bitchin’ co-host Tilly to do a special episode of Cabin Fever, as promised!

Helen’s obsessions with cabins has not subsided, and we’ve even got an outside opinion to help her learn more. Plus, she’s getting a marshy area of California put into her bathroom, and there’s an excellent story about a banjo.

Not as intellectually hilarious as the ManBuyCow Podcast, but amiably sedate and non-threatening fun. Really makes me feel better after a bad day: no disgusting humor (at least not that I’ve heard as yet ~), no cascades of profanity, just enjoyable Radio One-type chat humor - definitely helps if you know some mid-Thatcher to current-day English culture and a little British slang.
One of my absolute favourites, it began as a daily and now has bloomed into a weekly podcast. It doesn't really have a theme or topic and is more a hang out with three really amusing mates, mostly discussing the banalities of their pandemic lives, but with puns. It's much funnier than I make it sound, trust me! If you're feeling a bit lonely or low in these difficult times, try these guys out, they've helped me heaps - and no doubt many more besides ?

Tom, Helen and Dave have such a great chemistry and I’m frequently laughing along with them. I appreciated the podcast so much during lockdown and I still smile when I see a new episode in my feed. Please carry on and don’t change anything!
This is a lovely, gentle funny listen. Highlights have included: Helen’s Mold, Simon the Stonehenge BBC Pagan correspondent, The Bill on sax, who was Julia’s Parkinson related lover, Cornelius in general, Tony Gardiner feeling left out of the WhatsApp group, will Dave ever get to be on Blue Peter and Tom the proud (if embarrassing) football dad.
Funny, engaging nonsense with a nice cadence and great guests. Dave and Tom’s chats elevate the everyday, mundane stuff of life and lockdown into entertainment without being self-regarding. I really liked that they kept Helen Monksday each time they went weekly. This podcast has been biggest silver lining of Covid, and I’m going back and re-listening to old episodes which is hugely comforting and how I would define the concept of hygge. Lots of lovely content and excellent production values from... more
This is so good yes so good for you so good for me.
Absolutely love you all, thanks so much for keeping us entertained and given me company. I feel like you’re my flat mates (in a v good way, we haven’t got to the arguments re washing up yet) :)
This has been the soundtrack to my working day; absolutely silly and funny and a great distraction. Between Helen Monks, Cornelius, Riddle me Wilfred and sporadic guests it’s great entertaining 40 minutes. Thank you both.
Started as a relief for the stresses of lockdown this podcast offers companionship with some of the finest broadcasters around. Whether in the daily or weekly format there’s a lot to enjoy. The regulars like Cornelius and the wonderful Helen Monks always bring a big smile to my face. It’s joyously daft, and is just like spending time in the company of your friends from afar. Tom and Dave natter about anything and everything with a warmth that’s very much appreciated at this time. This podcast ha... more
Lockdown LOLs
I’m a grumpy frumpy forty-something woman and on paper two blokes from commercial radio chatting should not appeal. And yet it does. It’s funny, comforting and entertaining, and I especially love Helen Monksday - makes Mondays so much better. Brilliant stuff.
I’m way behind on these - still in work etc. - but slowly catching up. Constantly enjoyable and full of lovely silliness making this whole time seem a little less frightening. Thanks guys.
