  • TOO MANY ADS

Love Gary and Shannon, not hearing the same 3 mins of ads every time there’s a commercial break.

  • #1 show broken by ads

This is a great show for chemistry between the hosts as they cover a variety of topics. I listen to every episode as soon as it publishes, and they’ve played many of my talk-backs on air. I really am a big fan, which is why it gets any stars. But the commercials… They interrupt people mid-sentence, and when the show comes back, there are five syllables before the bumper kicks in. Why cut it there? And with commercials that seem to be 6 minutes long, you’ll want to turn it off long beforehand. Th... more

  • Ridiculous ad breaks

Ad breaks are frequent and long. Worst of all they start mid-sentence so that when break is over and content restarts (again, mid-sentence) you’ve forgotten what they were talking about. I understand that ads are part of the deal but, maybe KFI can put more effort into where they insert the breaks and show a little bit of respect for listeners.

  • #1 “Miscellaneous” show!

This is a great show for chemistry between the hosts as they cover a variety of topics. The insane commercial interruptions make me wish there was an ad-free subscription tier.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Real Stories, Nepo Baby Drama & Coke Sharks
Q: What makes Nashville an attractive location for film and studio work right now?
The combination of a welcoming culture, cost advantages, and a growing ecosystem of studios and talent, helped by pro-business policies and a lower regulatory burden, creates viable opportunities for production outside LA.
Airport Chaos, Iran Tensions & The Thing Gary Left Behind
Q: Marcus, what do we know about the LaGuardia crash and the sequence of events that led to the collision?
Marcus Espinoza outlines that a fire truck responding to a separate incident crossed the same runway during a landing, with air traffic control repeatedly instructing the truck to stop; preliminary audio and controller positioning are under investigation by the NTSB to determine what failed and why, while LaGuardia was temporarily shut down.
Iran Talks, Airport Meltdown & Tiger in Trouble
Q: Is it even a practice to think of a timeline in a situation like this?
The guest suggested that timelines are less relevant than changing conditions and strategic adaptability; decisions will come as conditions on the ground evolve, not on a fixed schedule.
Gary and Shannon Overtime: Social Media Faces the Courtroom
Q: Why was this case chosen to be the first to go to trial?
Bronstad explains it is part of a mass tort proceeding with thousands of cases and that this particular case was selected to go forward first, serving as a bellwether for similar claims about social media's impact on youth.
The Science Behind the Social Media Trial & The Biggest Lie About Traffic
Q: What did the hosts argue about traffic congestion and productivity?
They argued that the idea that time spent in traffic directly correlates to lost productivity is misleading, as many people can still be productive while driving.
