  • Great podcast

This is one of the photography podcasts I always look for popping up on my alerts. Marc is a Fuji devotee, no doubt suffers from GAS like we all do, and has some great guests. Always with a listen

  • Kinda Lost it’s way

Used to Listen every episode when it can out. But after a while I got tired of hearing from the same people they interview. The magazine/podcast is supposed be about Fuji Cameras and its users (that’s how the hosts introduces the show). Not Fuji Cameras and the well known people.

To me this has turned into a glorification of the magazine, well known shooters and ambassadors for fuji. It has lost its luster. Maybe they need to re-think this and actually do what they say on the intro. Interview ... more

  • Host

This current host is hard to listen to. He stammers, is awkward, and has long pauses. Guests seem to not enjoy him either. I can’t get through a podcast with this guy.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 183: Interview with David Fulde
Q: How did you manage collaboration with performers and producers?
I contacted management with clear ideas and budgets, letting the collaborators bring outfits; Fujifilm's input was constructive rather than prescriptive, helping refine the project without losing its essence.
Episode 183: Interview with David Fulde
Q: What motivated you to apply for the Fujifilm grant and how did the process unfold?
I had applied before but misread the application, then re-submitted with a strong one-pager; the interview focused on artistic merit and technical ability, with a collaborative process that Fujifilm supported while keeping the core idea mine.
Episode 177: Interview with Oren Soffer
Q: How did you approach the aspect ratio in the film?
We used both spherical and anamorphic lenses; the spherical lenses lent a claustrophobic feel to the present-day scenes, while anamorphic was used for the flashbacks showing togetherness and warmth.
Episode 177: Interview with Oren Soffer
Q: What was the learning experience when using the Eterna camera for the first time?
The camera was very intuitive and familiar to use, aligning with other cinema systems, which helped minimize any learning curve.
Episode 171: Interview with Wil Cohen
Q: How did you get into portrait photography?
Cohen began photography at an early age and developed a passion through a college darkroom class, eventually transitioning from film to digital photography.
