  • Great podcast

This is one of the photography podcasts I always look for popping up on my alerts. Marc is a Fuji devotee, no doubt suffers from GAS like we all do, and has some great guests. Always with a listen

  • Kinda Lost it’s way

Used to Listen every episode when it can out. But after a while I got tired of hearing from the same people they interview. The magazine/podcast is supposed be about Fuji Cameras and its users (that’s how the hosts introduces the show). Not Fuji Cameras and the well known people.

To me this has turned into a glorification of the magazine, well known shooters and ambassadors for fuji. It has lost its luster. Maybe they need to re-think this and actually do what they say on the intro. Interview ... more

  • Host

This current host is hard to listen to. He stammers, is awkward, and has long pauses. Guests seem to not enjoy him either. I can’t get through a podcast with this guy.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 190: Interview with Jared Wahkinney
Q: What drew you to the Fujifilm grant project and how has the GFX system helped your storytelling?
The Fujifilm grant aligned with my focus on storytelling and community access; the GFX system provided the depth and separation in shots, especially of small subjects like peyote plants, helping to convey the environment and the plants with respect and clarity.
Episode 190: Interview with Jared Wahkinney
Q: Is that correct (about Jared Wahkinney being the guest)?
Yes, that is correct, I am Jared Wahkinney, a filmmaker and documentary photographer whose work intersects with Indigenous communities and Fujifilm's grant programs.
Episode 189: Interview with Andrew Billington
Q: How do you handle other shooters, like videographers, on a wedding day?
I acknowledge their presence as part of the day, frame around them when needed, and sometimes weave their activity into the narrative of the photos while keeping the couple the priority.
Episode 189: Interview with Andrew Billington
Q: What prompted the switch from Fuji to Sony?
It wasn't autofocus alone; it was the overall low-light performance and ISO capabilities, plus the need to reduce post-production time so weddings could flow smoothly.
Episode 188: Interview with Mike Chiou
Q: What advantage does your software provide that, say, Lightroom or Photoshop doesn't provide?
ToneLatch offers a one-click workflow that preserves the Fujifilm JPEG color while reintroducing highlight information from the RAW data to produce a true HDR-like JPEG, without requiring a full professional HDR workflow or expensive hardware. It focuses on ease of use for casual photographers who want their Fujifilm images to pop on modern displays.
