I tried listening to the 7 laws of power episode, but my god, the host wouldn’t stop talking about himself. The host has lost sight of the podcast itself - guest is irrelevant, everyone is just coming to hear him talk. Here is a summarized transcript “when I was a commander” … “I am reading Plutarch” … when I rose up the ranks” … “I was successful” … “i made my own brand by wanting to help others be as smart and successful as myself” ….”when I was in command (5 more times)🤢🤢🤮
This podcast really resonated with me and what I’ve experienced in the military so far. I found myself nodding my head in agreement and taking a moment to think about some insights I had never considered. LTC (R) Joe Byerly and LTC(P) Weimer create a dynamic conversation and complement each other well in a podcast format. Both podcasters provided insights from their military experience while acknowledging the limitations of the scope of that experience.
An awesome range of guests that share their experience from within the military and from without but regardless have lots of great points for the listener to reflect on. The show continues to improve and I’m really excited to keep listening to these easily digestible and actionable episodes.

These interviews aren’t just fluff pieces, however. Many of them have gold nuggets you can use in your professional and personal life even if you’re not in the military. Lastly, if you’re looking for your next book to read, Joe ca... more
