Simply my most beloved podcast by far. Literally something for everyone. Bringing history to life, you feel and breathe it through every word. I adore these women so much. Incredibly intelligent and sharp, their delivery of every episode is 100% on point and impeccable. Never a lack luster episode, sentence or even word produced. Humorous but sensitive at every turn, I couldn’t love them more. I always learn soooo much and frequently regurgitate facts with far too much enthusiasm at inappropriat... more
When dealing with such morbid topics and murder and mayhem, these women handle it with respect and the kind of morbid humor that is required to stay sane. In the face of all that is wrong in this world, I love their banter, their mutual respect, their gallows humor, and the stories are darn right engaging and interesting. A must for true crime fans.
There is absolutely nothing about this podcast to criticize. The detailed historical research on varied topics--many of which were entirely unknown to me previously--is truly gripping. Annie and Johanna's personalities are nicely complementary; a perfect team. The recording quality and editing are flawless. I love these women, and the product they produce. Truly informative and entertaining, too!
I’m furious with myself that I’ve never found these ladies before now! So pleased to have found this podcast. Fascinating stories, great chemistry between the lovely hosts and well told, well researched tales with a dash of humour.
I love the mix of history and the macabre. It’s such an enjoyable listen and I actually learn things!
