  • No Politics please

Great podcast being ruined by insertion of politics. Completely unnecessary and unfortunate! Hope the hosts take note.

Great topic. But 24-hr turnaround with MACHEON labs and University of Cincinnati. DOn’t wait two weeks. But even if negative 30-40% still can have genetic contribution. What to do with long term treatment seems to depend if mutations are seen in fH,fB,MCP,fI.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

FF 76 FINE ARTS
Q: Can I talk about the background of HEPPEPH real quick?
HEPPEPH is distinctly different than heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, and it is a heterogeneous disease, making the condition challenging to treat.
FF 76 FINE ARTS
Q: Why are we doing FINE HEARTS and not FINE HEARTS? What was the reasoning behind that?
FINE HEARTS was less exciting as it was viewed that heart failure had already been covered in previous discussions, leading to this choice to focus on the meta-analysis instead.
Freely Filtered 66: NephJC Summer Book Club
Q: Perry, can you tell us a story about how you wrote the book?
The book started as a course on how to interpret medical research, but evolved into discussing why trust in medicine is waning.
