  • Vaccines - Should Not Have Gone Thete

Very disappointed in personal views shared on vaccines & the implication that people who question vaccines are incorrect, not as smart, and the reference to Trump taking (we also remember the dems were against them until…).

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Eric Ries: Your Culture Is the Problem—Not Your People
Q: What practical steps can leaders take today to move toward a more trust-based organization?
Start by focusing on earning trust through transparent decision-making, avoiding withdrawals from the culture bank, and deploying small, reversible experiments to demonstrate value. Build a blueprint that prioritizes human flourishing and ethical governance, and push for leadership that models integrity and consistency in daily actions.
Eric Ries: Your Culture Is the Problem—Not Your People
Q: How do you advise leaders to handle the tension between wanting growth and avoiding burnout?
Ries emphasizes implementing concrete, small-scale experiments first, engaging one team at a time, and building a culture that supports experimentation over chasing a perfect plan. He argues for changing leadership behavior and creating environments where teams can operate with autonomy while staying aligned to core principles, rather than relying on top-down mandates or relentless optimization without trust.
Jennifer Colosimo: Expect a Lot, Care a Lot
Q: Where are you hoping to take this podcast next, and what is your vision for its future?
I want to continue tapping into great leaders worldwide, expand the range of insights, and keep the conversation practical and actionable for listeners, while maintaining the spirit of curiosity and thoughtful questioning that has defined the show.
Jennifer Colosimo: Expect a Lot, Care a Lot
Q: Tell us about something or someone that you learned that you think would be applicable and interesting to our audience.
I've learned from mentors who combined high expectations with genuine care, demonstrating that leadership is about unlocking potential in others while driving results, a balance that informs my approach to coaching, feedback, delegation, and building durable relationships.
Chris Anderson: How Great Leaders Turn Ideas Into Impact
Q: Tell me about that decision to post in 2006, the early videos. Was it highly debated? Was it like, let's just test this thing and see how it goes?
The move was indeed hotly debated and started as a cautious test of six talks. Contrary to expectations, the talks resonated strongly online, proving the model could work and ultimately increasing live attendance and TED's reach; the decision was validated by community willingness to embrace sharing and generosity.
