I have this saved and I’ve listened more than once. Great for long plane rides to relax and escape. The sounds, info and acting is wonderful. Highly recommended!
Made it halfway through the series and just couldn't go continue. This is essentially several hours of stunning sound design (some of the best I've ever heard in podcasting) with a 'plot' and environmental messages and morals shoe-horned in. more
A story about being a person in a post-human world that explores the importance and power of sound and nature. The story is sad but hopeful. The story episodes are followed by conversations with experts and soundscapes that add to the story and its environmental themes. The performances are great - the narration of the three main characters blends into conversation at points, a stylistic choice that makes more sense at the end of the story.
I’m on my third listen. I love all three parts—fiction, sounds, and science/philosophy. Thank you, BBC.
