  • Turn down the volume!!!

Enjoy the show great information quick and to the point but the way the commercials make you go deaf when they come on is off putting! If yall could tone those down a bit it would be greatly appreciated! Still gonna listen either way but with fear for my hearing

  • Still good but needs some adjustments

For a long time, my favorite podcast in any genre was the weekly recap from Cecil and Sigmund. In recent years, they just don’t seem as interested, especially Cecil. He sometimes brings good analysis but gets sidetracked by saying the same thing too often. Sometimes he seems to just not want to be there. I love Football Guys and have subscribed for many years, but I think maybe there should be more changes to either get Cecil more engaged or add someone like Jeff Bell or Matt Waldman more instea... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Fantasy Football's Quietest Values: Buy Before Everyone Notices | On The Hotseat
Q: Give me one player you've got your eye on that we're not hearing enough about this year.
Howard highlights rookie receivers and other overlooked backs ahead of the value curve, emphasizing that the current quietness around certain players can create opportunities in drafts and that we should look beyond hype to identify those with a clear path to workload and production.
Are You Drafting the Player—or the Price? On the Hotseat
Q: Why might Michael Wilson surpass expectations in the Cardinals' offense?
Wilson has elite contested-catch ability and route-running, plus the Cardinals have employed him in a primary targets role, which could lead to a high target share and big-yardage games if the quarterback situation stabilizes.
Are You Drafting the Player—or the Price? On the Hotseat
Q: How does outside zone scheme fit influence Saquon Barkley's draft value this season?
The outside zone fit suggests the offensive line can create easier rushing lanes, which could help Barkley maintain a high touch volume and yardage despite some questions about age and offense; still, the quarterback and offensive system surrounding him heavily influence his ceiling.
Are You Drafting the Player—or the Price? On the Hotseat
Q: What signals should fantasy managers look for to reconsider a player's value after initial evaluations?
Signals include sustained production when defenses adjust (e.g., continuing to produce after several weeks of increased attention), clear role clarity in training camp or preseason reports, and evidence of improved or maintained production despite matchup challenges.
Camp Storylines for Fantasy Football Sleepers and Busts - On the Couch with Gregg Rosenthal
Q: What story line from training camp should fantasy players not ignore?
Aggressive evaluations of injury timelines and the risk profiles of key players (like Marshawn Lloyd and Josh Jacobs) should be considered, as well as how a team's evolving offense and coaching approach could shift fantasy volumes.
