  • Get your fantasy football nerd on!

JJ’s stuff is SUPER informative! It’s a bit over my head, but his tier breakdowns are VERY helpful on draft day. Thanks JJ.

  • Unique Approach

In a world of endless content, I appreciate Late-Round being different. They make decisions based on providing the best content not making the most money. Even NFL GMs don’t know if a player will be good or not. The best basketball mind in history, Michael Jordan, sucked at player evaluation as an owner. Analytics is the only true way to get an edge. It makes it fun too.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Late-Round Perspectives: Chris Harris Returns
Q: What's something you think about evaluating fantasy football players that you think the rest of the fantasy industry gets fundamentally wrong?
A core idea is that value comes from players, not strictly from positions, and that you should focus on finding the best players with upside rather than following rigid positional templates.
1116: Mailbag - Breece Hall's Value, Ambiguous Backfields, and More
Q: Is it worth targeting Breece Hall highly given his risky situation?
Hall is talented and has upside, but his backfield and offensive environment add risk. He can be a viable RB13 with strong context, but you shouldn't force him; balance with other targets and consider tears in rankings.
1116: Mailbag - Breece Hall's Value, Ambiguous Backfields, and More
Q: How should managers balance market score with ADP during a draft?
Market score is a supplementary metric to help contextualize ADP, not a replacement. Rankings should factor market score alongside other factors, and you should consider opportunity costs and positional value rather than blindly chasing market signals.
Becoming a Best Ball Bro: Is Training Camp News Overrated?
Q: Where are you at with Josh Allen specifically on DraftKings this year?
The hosts discuss varying rooms on DK where Allen can be worth a price in the back of the third or later, but generally they favor getting exposure at the right price rather than paying up in early rounds.
1113: Mailbag - De'Von Achane's Situation, Bhayshul Tuten's Upside, and More
Q: How should we think about the backfield in ambiguous situations like Bhayshul Tuten vs Chris Rodriguez?
Ambiguous backfields can offer upside due to multiple outs in a good offense; evaluating the backfield in context of team environment scores and the likelihood of one back emerging helps, and sometimes the more conservative approach (a late pair of RBs) can outperform chasing a single back early.
