  • Get your fantasy football nerd on!

JJ’s stuff is SUPER informative! It’s a bit over my head, but his tier breakdowns are VERY helpful on draft day. Thanks JJ.

  • Unique Approach

In a world of endless content, I appreciate Late-Round being different. They make decisions based on providing the best content not making the most money. Even NFL GMs don’t know if a player will be good or not. The best basketball mind in history, Michael Jordan, sucked at player evaluation as an owner. Analytics is the only true way to get an edge. It makes it fun too.

Your Price hate was tiresome even before the draft and it’s getting worse. Take a break.

  • JJ is great. Best Ball Bro has to stop

I’m so sick of hearing about best ball. JJ is great for prospecting, and I enjoy most of the in season content too, but this marks year 3 of rolling my eyes that we’re doing a whole weekly best ball show again.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

1106: Mailbag - Ladd McConkey's Outlook, Philadelphia's Offense, and More
Q: What am I missing or not understanding about the outlook on the Eagles offense for this year?
Shane, the Eagles can still be a productive offense despite changes; a new OC and depth can shift dynamics. Jalen Hurts might be mispriced relative to his ceiling, and the supporting cast around him, including Devontae Smith, can still provide solid fantasy value if the offense evolves positively.
1106: Mailbag - Ladd McConkey's Outlook, Philadelphia's Offense, and More
Q: For Redraft, can you talk about exposure rates? I do 10 leagues a year. Is there a rough percentage you don't want to surpass based on their ADP?
Exposure should be balanced by early-round diversification to avoid over-concentration on a single player, especially in rounds 1–3 where hit rates are highest. Late-round exposure is less risky and can be used to differentiate teams, but you should still be mindful of overall exposure and adjust based on your risk tolerance and league format.
1106: Mailbag - Ladd McConkey's Outlook, Philadelphia's Offense, and More
Q: Hey JJ, the new site looks awesome. Thanks. My question is, why is Tyler Shuck ranked significantly higher in Redraft Superflex ranks than Dynasty?
The core idea is that redraft and dynasty leagues operate with different economies and risk profiles. Redraft values the short-term starter role and immediate production, so Shuck can look attractive even if long-term upside is murkier. Dynasty incorporates market signals and longer-term upside plus the cost to acquire the player, making the ranking more conservative given longer time horizons and higher durability risk.
Late-Round Perspectives: Drew Davenport
Q: What is one common misconception about auctions that you encounter?
Many think rigidity is bad and that flexibility alone is the goal, but rigidity actually creates true flexibility by forcing you to plan precisely, which makes in-draft adjustments more effective when opportunities arise.
Late-Round Perspectives: Drew Davenport
Q: What is the par sheet and why is it so important for new auction drafters?
The par sheet assigns fixed dollar amounts to every roster slot, turning a $200 cap into a concrete, actionable plan; it helps you manage money across the roster, prevents overspending early, and keeps you balanced through the draft, which is crucial in a non-linear auction environment.
