  • Misleading title - really about pet projects of the foundation

As an assessment professional, I was interested in a podcast that talks about how data is used. Given the name “follow the data”, I assumed this would be the focus. After listening to three episodes, data is discussed in passing but is not the focal point of the podcast. Instead, the focus is on the work of the philanthropy, not on how data is used to inform the work. • Soviet style podcast

I was really excited to see the “data” frame. But listened to portions of a couple other episodes and it is all about Fearless Leader Bloomberg and sounds like an old-school government infomercial for the foundation.

The first episode with MaryAnne Hitt (about the Sierra Club’s coal work) is good because Hitt is excellent. But the interviewers and the other episodes just seemed like old-school propaganda.
