  • I have a notebook for this podcast now.

There has never been a podcast I have ever had the desire to listen to twice, not even my all time favorite crime podcast. 😆 This podcast upped my garden game and now I am re listening to old episodes and taking notes.

    Things I learned about

Bugs-they aren’t all bad- except for aphids. Those guys are terrible

Water-plants need it, but I need to save it

    Compost

My orchids don’t actually hate me, they just need cooler temps to bloom.

A lot of succulents need seasons

    Being greener

    And sometimes ... more

Add compost to improve the structure and moisture retention of clay soils; it will also help hold nutrients and prevent large cracks.
Flower Power Garden Hour 218: October To Do List and Listener Q & A

FPGH 217: Kayden Rsenbauer of the Sacramento Tree Foundation
Q: What watering techniques do you recommend for young trees?
For young trees, water them more frequently during the summer, possibly three times a week, and reduce the frequency as they mature.
FPGH 217: Kayden Rsenbauer of the Sacramento Tree Foundation
Q: When is the best time to plant a tree?
Fall is a great time for planting trees in Sacramento due to the milder winters compared to other regions.
FPGH 215: September Garden To-Do's and Q & A
Q: Why are my Amaryllis plants not blooming?
Consider factors like overcrowding, pH levels affecting iron availability, and whether they need to be divided.
