  • Worst Sound Quality

This comment is meant to be constructive.

While the content is mostly good, this podcast is hard to listen to because they don’t appear to have anyone on their team that understands the importance of the quality of broadcasting. They sorely need an engineer that can help them with this. Also, they need a speech coach that can help them improve their broadcast voices. Ethan, for example, swallows his words and can be unintelligible sometimes. Slow down and speak your words clearly.

  • Well intentioned but refusal of critical thinking

Too much glass half full perspective which prevents them from accepting objectively true and valid criticism about the fall from grace the organization has seen. More time is spent criticizing the perspective of fans and online accounts than the decision makers of the franchise themselves. Fantastic people and hardworking people and good people all across this podcast however for sure, and they care to deliver vast topics and ideas for the fans to hear which is appreciated!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Keith Smith on the Miami Heat's offseason options, plan
Q: Do you think Miami could actually build a roster within one off-season that could be strongly competitive in the Eastern Conference if they acquired Giannis?
Yes, if they can swing a Giannis trade and pair Bam Adebayo with Giannis, they could assemble a capable supporting cast, though it would require careful salary matching, potential trades of multiple players, and leverage of the mid-level or biannual exceptions to fill gaps.
Players the Miami Heat could target at No. 13
Q: What factors make certain players likely targets at 13 if the Heat keep the pick?
The discussion centers on archetype alignment (guards/wings), athleticism, wingspan, and how tape can outweigh metrics; several players are identified as plausible fits based on size and two-way potential rather than pure athletic projections.
Barry Jackson joins for the State of the Miami Heat 2026
Q: You've discussed the idea of pivoting away from a star-first strategy if the right opportunity doesn't present itself. What would be a practical Plan B for the Heat this summer?
Pivot to distressed assets and a flexible, multi-asset approach, including leveraging multiple first-round picks if available, and being open to sign-and-trade or targeted moves rather than waiting for a singular superstar.
Giannis Antetokounmpo speaking about Miami to Goran Dragic
Q: Are you concerned about Heat fans' concerns that Giannis flirting could affect the summer plans?
The hosts acknowledge there should be a broader, multi-layered plan beyond Giannis and emphasize ongoing evaluation of backup options and timing, rather than conceding to pressure to pivot immediately.
Jorge Sedano and Brady Hawk join as Lakers visit Heat
Q: Is LeBron playing tonight given the back-to-back and the travel schedule?
They're unsure; LeBron is questionable and may sit, with real possibilities he doesn't play, so the game could hinge on who's available.
