  • Honest take

I really love David and Wes. They are so real, funny, and consistent. I’ve been listening to them for a few years now and I have never been let down. They make every episode entertaining and a must-listen even if it’s the offseason.

The only thing I don’t like is how many ad reads there is per episode. But I know it’s a Locked on Network thing. It’s not worth letting that stop you from listening to this fantastic podcast.

I really hope these guys keep making episodes because it helps me in m... more

  • Great coverage of a tough season, guys.

Maybe you all can help me understand something: When we have a superstar who wants out (i.e., Jimmy), all the talk is about how the Heat are screwed because we have to take way less than he is worth. Meanwhile, when a superstar like Giannis or KD want out of their respective teams, the talk is all about how the Heat are screwed because we don’t have the assets to go and get said player. How is it both? How is it that the Heat never seem to have enough whether we’re buying or selling?

  • Get rid of Jim Grieshaber

I have listened to the show for years now and the only ones I skip are with Jim Grieshaber. He seems unprepared and always has issues. That is in addition to his delivery style. He can’t spit out one coherent sentence without some stupid catch phrase or some other stupid saying he comes up with. David and Wes are great, especially together, but it’s time to dump the chump

I listen to all episodes that Jim Grieshaber

Is not on. He will be the reason I just stop listening to lock on heat.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Did OKC Just Complicate Miami’s Giannis Plan?
Q: What would be a realistic package for Giannis if Milwaukee decides to move him?
A plausible path involves assets like multiple picks and some of Miami's young players, balancing future flexibility with the chance to pair Giannis with a high-impact star, while also considering cap implications and the team's ability to contend in the near term.
Worst-Case ECF for Heat Fans & Udonis Haslem Calls Out Anthony Edwards
Q: Flavio asks whether the Heat should trade Bam to keep Tyler Herro or pursue a different number one option.
The hosts think Bam is harder to replace and that trading him would set the Heat back more than trading Herro; they suggest combining Bam with a true number one option rather than moving Bam for a current prime star, aiming to preserve versatility while adding elite scoring around Bam.
Is This the End for Tyler Herro With the Miami Heat? & Lauri Markkanen Trade Rumors
Q: What is the central issue around Tyler Herro's future with the Heat?
The central issue is whether Herro will be traded due to the Heat's desire to upgrade with a top-tier star and the perception that Herro's role and fit may be better elsewhere, especially if the Heat are pursuing a superstar.
ONE MORE THING: Why Miami Heat Really DELAYED Waiving Terry Rozier
Q: Did the Heat consider waiving Terry Rozier earlier to free up money, and why wait until the end of the season?
Yes, the team considered waiving Rozier earlier to save guaranteed money, but they chose to keep him on the books to preserve flexibility for potential salary matching at the trade deadline and to avoid risking a later need for a wing or cap space that could have been problematic.
POSTGAME: Miami Heat Season Ends on LaMelo Ball Game-Winner. Are Major Changes On the Way?
Q: What was the biggest takeaway from the game tonight?
The Heat showed grit and competitive spirit—playing well without Bam and executing a smart game plan—yet ultimately fell short due to late defensive lapses and an outstanding finish by LaMelo Ball, prompting questions about roster construction and in-season adjustments.
