Chuck and Mav, thanks for all that you're doing. Dedicating time to serve the Lord by speaking about really tough topics within the spiritual realm, while closing it with hope and application for Christians. I really appreciated the episode on prayer! That’s been on my heart for a good while and the LORD used you guys to help me create structure and encouragement! Keep doing your thang!

  • Good content, Good Guests, Getting even better to listen to

I’m from Boston Area. We’re pretty tough in people up here. It’s part of every day. I was tough on the host in my former review. I was frustrated by some of the wordy questions that seemed to distract from the conversation at hand.

To the shows credit, my review was addressed on a show. There’s been improvement. Still needs some—like all of us.

I never considered the ethnicity of the hosts, it didn’t factor into my analysis at all. You sound good, dude. Just stay focused. Challenge... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

FTR: 182 Witness To Witnesses vol. II
Q: What must I do to be saved according to Jehovah's Witnesses, and how do you respond?
The host and Rob explain that Jehovah's Witnesses emphasize belief and obedience within their translation and organization, but the guest counters by pointing to passages like Romans 10:9-10 and John 3:16, arguing that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and a personal relationship with Him, not just doctrinal agreement or ritual. They also stress presenting the gospel in a way that leads to relationship with Christ rather than winning a doctrinal 'debate.'
FTR: 176 THOU SHALT NOT MURDER With Jacob Ellis
Q: What do you say to those who argue that abortion should be allowed in cases of rape?
While acknowledging the tragedy of rape, an abolitionist believes that aborting the child is not the solution. Instead, the focus should be on supporting the mother and protecting the life of the child, as abortion would only result in another victim.
FTR: 176 THOU SHALT NOT MURDER With Jacob Ellis
Q: What does it mean to be an Abolitionist?
An Abolitionist seeks to end practices they believe to be inherently evil, much like historical abolitions of slavery. In the context of abortion, it means advocating for the legal termination of abortion as it is viewed as murder.
FTR 174: NDE Conspiracy With Shaun Tabatt
Q: How should near-death experiences be interpreted from a Christian perspective?
They should be weighed against the truths presented in scripture and historical Christian teachings, focusing on transformations in the lives of experiencers.
FTR 174: NDE Conspiracy With Shaun Tabatt
Q: What should someone do if they've had a near-death experience and don't know how to process it?
They should find someone to talk to, like a friend or a counselor, and start documenting their experience in writing to help them process it.
