Just what I needed. Amazing characters and beautiful story.
Your relationship with your mom is adorable and special. Those voices in some of our heads can be very negative. She is a reflection of many, many, people, but her story (and of course, herself) is very unique. Thank you to your mom for her vulnerability with sharing her trauma, and I am so elated for her that she and Natasha have been given a chance (through you) to re-write that narrative and shift that perspective of herself to one that’s healthier and healing.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story! It showed it’s NEVER too late to start your healing journey! What a beautiful story of timeless friendship! Would have loved to see video of their reunion on zoom and in person attached in the episode notes if possible.
What i thought might be an interesting story was really just a self depreciating narcissistic woman with verbal diarrohea and a woe is me attitude rambling on and on about how awful her life was.i couldnt listen all the way through
Thank you for this. It was touching to have an insight to what was ultimately a love letter from a son to his mother. To resolve something for her that seemed so insurmountable for her entire life, give her closure, as well as open the door to a resumed/ pivotal friendship and a re-framing of her memories and self worth/ life achievements. It also gave a peek into a time and a place that is mostly hidden from the western world. It was short, but lovely, beautiful, and sweet. What a gift!
