Final Fantasy VIII gave us "The Man with the Machine Gun" a paradigm-shifting piece of music for the game and the franchise and a fan favorite to this day. We listen to and learn about synth sounds and theory, including some classic movie/TV themes, ... more

Final Fantasy XV has often been criticized for being incomplete. Well I've got a few things to say about that. #finalfantasy #FFXV

We begin with Hayao Miyazaki's directorial debut in Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro. We break down the "gentleman thief" trope, invite family to ask a few big questions, then have just enough time to watch the beautiful intro.

I count down the Top 10 Villains from Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Chono Trigger/Cross, at least in my opinion.

  • Absolutely lovely

I tuned into their FF7 intro episode and it actually floored me. These guys are fantastic, what they presented was perfect to me. There’s too much to comment on, but I came back to it, shared it with friends. Decided to look for more.

I then listened to the FF9 episode, I think the second of that series and again. It was phenomenal. It turned into what is often a long and tiresome after work drive into total joy. I was smiling the whole time.

So, I’m sold. I just started episode 1 here on App... more

  • Intelligent Analyses

Too many podcasts suffer from negativity and shallow insights. Not so for Drew and Ira - FF Weekly gives fantastic insight into the stories, themes, characters, and politics of the various Final Fantasy games while showing appreciation for every aspect from the art to the music, the gameplay to the design, and everything in between. With backgrounds in philosophy and literature respectively, these two brothers do it like nobody else and you really need to check them out.
