  • Go Tom and Team!

I’ve become a huge fan of Tom and his FNN network of competent and deeply knowledgeable reporters. Without fail, this podcast is my go-to source for accurate and non-biased perspectives and information on all aspects of the federal government and the ecosystems within which it exists. Tom is a hilarious and humane host that doesn’t shy away from asking tough questions and providing deep historical context.

  • Support working Americans

Please stop promoting government agencies and unions who do not want to serve the American public. The same people crying about returning to an office are the same ones sitting side by side with other fans in an indoor sports arena. They are the same ones sitting elbow to elbow in a church, without a mask, pretending to be Christian (while their kids sit in a Sunday school class). They are the same ones that are shooing their kids out the door to sit on a school bus and then in a classroom. Are ... more

  • Please fix!!

After every episode finishes it begins the lessons learned leadership podcast with a interview with the CEO of Navy Fed Credit Union. Why?! Love this podcast but it is painful to listen to that introduction every single time after the podcast end.

The Army's concept of a single IT network moves closer to reality
Q: How much faster are these pipelines now compared to traditional methods?

The Army's concept of a single IT network moves closer to reality
Q: Any updates you can give us on the continuous ATO process and its approval status?
The Army is progressing, with multiple pipelines approved (four currently: one at a command and three at program offices) and nearing completion on an additional piece to finalize the policy, signaling ongoing movement toward a department-wide, continuous ATO model.
Treasury prepares RIF for office created to avoid financial crisis, IRS IT resumes hiring after mass reassignments
Q: Jory, what's the logic behind this layoff, and how does the Office of Financial Research fit into ongoing oversight of the financial system?
The office was created to monitor financial health and indicators post-2008, but lawmakers have argued it may be redundant with other Treasury and agency functions; the plan is to downsize and reallocate people while preserving critical oversight through transitions and priority reemployment.
The Federal Drive with Terry Gerton - - Monday, March 30, 2026
Q: What reforms would you want to see to make the regulatory process more responsive while keeping deliberation and inclusion?
Earlier public engagement in the regulatory process could expedite policy development and reduce later-stage conflicts, provided there is bipartisan support to avoid politicization and unintended consequences.
