Love this pod, the passion for the topic and band means I always end up listening to their music after an episode. 🤘
Really enjoying this. Incredibly well researched, detailed and entertaining podcast about one of the great Oz bands. Features reviews, archival audio, old interviews and new interviews with the band and all kinds of other folk from the music scene. Recommended not just for fans of the band but anyone interested in Oz music of the last 30 years.
I love the Fauves. The band that has been criminally underrated for three decades. Thirty years of consistently great music, and yet, where’s the recognition? Nowhere. It’s like shouting into the void, isn’t it? Credit to the great people who dedicate such passion and time to this worthy enterprise. It’s almost Sisyphean, isn’t it? Rolling that rock of musical brilliance up the hill, only for it to be ignored by the masses. But if you love music, whether you know the Fauves or not, check it out.... more
Extensively researched that not only follows the journey of The Fauves, but gives an insight into the Australian indie scene in the 90’s
And it never got published. So that’s how it works eh? Very very average podcast on a band I had some interest in hearing more about. I won’t rewrite the review. Let’s see if this one appears. [edit]Just had to add THIS HAS GOT WORSE. I ready tried… it is so ponderous 10 minutes on how the producers put a piece of equipment in the freezer!! The interview speaks sooooooo slooooooowly. Enough!
