  • Prepare to be charmed

A lovely collection of stories about fascinating humans. Every person has a story and this guy will bring it to you with humor & charm. I am a longtime listener and I tend to “fall in love” with the guests! Jeremy Swift, I am talking about you! The host, Steve, is a sweetheart, and always brings the best out of his guests. He’s the next Terry Gross & truly worthy of a subscribe & download.

  • Super Dope!

Every episode is uniquely different and it keeps you coming back to see/listen to who Steve is interviewing. The guest list ranges from top celeberties to everyday folks with a story to tell. This is where Steve's knack for getting the guest to open up about their lives, history and what inspires them comes out. Everytime I listen, I feel as if I am sitting at the table with the guest and Steve and a bottle of something that gets us all to loosen up, relax and spill our guts.

Chef George Blackwell Smith IV - Lucky Cajun
Q: What inspired you to start Lucky Cajun Seasonings and focus on fresh-ground spices?
COVID-era uncertainty plus a desire to avoid the burnout of long restaurant hours led him to packaging spice blends and cookbooks, with a realization that grinding spices fresh creates superior flavor and a faster route from kitchen to table.
Chef George Blackwell Smith IV - Lucky Cajun
Q: Where were you born and raised, and how did that shape your cooking?
He was born in California, grew up in Tennessee, and fell in love with Cajun flavors after high school in Baton Rouge, which steered him toward culinary training and a life around food.
Imaad Wasif - Musician (Imaad Wasif / The Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
Q: What sparked your decision to become a musician?
Wasif attributes the spark to being handed Zeppelin records by older peers and the desire to express complex feelings of alienation, which he found music could channel in a powerful way.
Henry (Beyond B3) Returns! - Street Artist Turned Fine Artist
Q: Tell everybody where they can find you and more about your art.
You can find my work on Instagram at Studio Kidney and on my website studiokidney.com, where I catalog my current pieces, including the American and Palestinian flag works, with details about the techniques and messages behind them.
Henry (Beyond B3) Returns! - Street Artist Turned Fine Artist
Q: So how has it changed? what kind of stuff are you painting now?
I've found a distinct style centered on people, while still addressing knife crime and other societal issues; I now use multiple mediums, incorporating kidney imagery and even political themes in a way that's personal but not strictly 'political' on air.
