  • Warm and uplifting

Listening to Jess is one of the most calming and joyful moments of my week. A recent quote of hers really sums up how she builds others up, and gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling: “Success is not a finite resource.” Thank you for sharing your kindness and love of reading, Jess!

  • The Coziest

I love the format of this podcast. It is a chance to get inside the head of creative people in the book community. See their creative process and learn more about them as a human. Which is important for us all to remember, that they are humans first. And we do that while celebrating a mutual love of books and reading. It’s very unique and very cool and Jess is the perfect host for this content.

Q: Without a ton of context, who is Hayden's favorite Cosmere character?

They envision a full-fledged village of activities within the Discord and a Bardic Cruise in 2027, aiming to keep the community space robust, inclusive, and engaging with regular events and member governance.
Cosplay and Community with Bardic Book Club
Q: How did Bardic Book Club actually begin?
It started from Connor's TikTok reactions, blossomed into a Discord server named Bardic Book Club, quickly grew to hundreds of members, and necessitated recruiting early moderators who became core members of the community.
Cosplay and Community with Bardic Book Club
Q: So what are you two reading right now?
They are exploring a mix of titles from their own book club picks, including Two Twisted Crowns and Lady of Darkness, while discussing other works they're excited about and planning to sample more of Rachel Gillig's world.
Rachel Schneider
Q: Did you expect the ending to hit as hard as it did, or had you dropped more hints along the way?
I was undecided about the end and feared it might anger readers, which is why I left some foreshadowing subtle, aiming for a conclusion that would resonate and invite rereads rather than flatly satisfy everyone the first time.
