  • Errors

Discussions get quite deep in the literature, but I think there is excessive bias and willful ignorance. The church fathers shouldn’t be naively trusted, like on gospel authorship. I think the discussions of the origins of Luke-Acts were overly credulous. And, sorry, the creator of the universe did not speak to two humans named Adam and Eve. It’s allegory, borrowed from other ANE myths. But if the ultimate goal is apologetics, well, I guess that makes sense of it all.

Q: So what do you think is some of the earliest and best evidence that supports the Pauline view of authorship?
Dr. Boyce cites the Muratorian Fragment and early church figures like Irenaeus and Tertullian, who supported the view of Pauline authorship and provided context around why certain letters might have been excluded by others.
