I’m at a genuine tie with my previous three Guppy reviews, and I can’t have that tie stand before the Pivot finally arrives. I’ve written one review that made Gary laugh, one that made Gary mad, and one that didn’t get read at all. With this review, I hope to ask a thought provoking question. Maybe the most thought provoking question of all. Of the two classic jams to go on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, strawberry or grape, which do you prefer? I, for one, don’t believe you can trust an in... more
I want to make clear that this is my own, personal opinion: I love Abject Suffering. I can’t think of a better comedy podcast loosely about video games. Gary is a master of improvisational comedy (I love his characters!), and he and Kaye’s comedic rapport is second to none.
So, in summary: yesterday? Loved it. Today? Love it. Tomorrow? I’m going to punctuate this with periods for emphasis and no other reason:
I. Will. Love. Abject Suffering.
A fantastic podcast that comes into form once the hosts are given even more time to shoot the shit. Gary and Will fill every episode with a bountiful amount of conversation, hurting each other's feelings at least once per episode. On top of that, eventually, they will tell you about an item/trinket/boss/enemy in the binding of Isaac! The information provided is genuinely informative. I tune into new episodes of this pod as soon as I can, love it, keep up the great work.
The opening theme to QuackStak gives me such cringe and makes me so embarrassed for you even though I know I shouldn’t. It’s just not for me but still love that you are unabashedly your self and I love the show. Also everything to guppy is fine too I guess.
This isn't gonna be funny.
I think about this most days, but I was denied the opportunity to learn how to read music and play in the school band. This must have been like 4th grade, and I was a little kid who played the drums. The band teacher at my school had a strange conduct based requirement to be in band and I guess I got too many 'conduct marks" for him to want to put up with me. I feel like my path in life really diverged that day and if I think about it long enough I get really sad.
