This guy is a fantastic person and ambassador for heavy music. Well done sir and from not being in the scene for over ten years? I’m catching up fast with this show
The work put into this podcast is highly visible just by listening to one episode. I highly appreciate the effort put in to link Aussies to overseas artists, the promotion of gigs/bands within Australia & the honesty/humour is also quite enjoyable. Bonus points for men discussing how they feel publicly about their art to share with others. Would love to see more female artists interviewed! Keen to hear more 🤘
S.P. 🎃
Is this a radio show? Yes.
This isn’t a podcast and shouldn’t be called one. The questions are not insightful or interesting (podcasts are these things). The questions are the boring, same same that every single press/magazine/radio asks.
Don’t waste your time with this mind numbing, waste of a show.
Please stop making this pointless show.
METAL FANS, THIS IS OUR GUY!!! Just when I thought we'd never get another Andrew Haug or Costa Zouliou, Nev comes along! This dude knows his stuff! It's good to finally hear an interviewer with the knowledge and love of the genre that's currently missing from most metal radio shows and podcasts. THIS BLOKE CLEARLY WALKS THE WALK!
Caters to all your metal needs. Nev's a top notch interviewer and really gets the subjects to open up! Quality stuff!

A global metal-focused interview series that often centers on cross-border touring, collaborations, and the evolving metal scene. Episodes frequently explore how bands break through on international stages, the role of social media and creative strategies (like parody covers) in building audiences, and the cultural dynamics of touring—from Australia to Europe and North America. Notable threads include personal journeys of artists, spirituality or philosophy shaping music, and the practicalities of sustaining a career in heavy music, along with lively anecdotes that highlight camaraderie among bands and fans. A standout aspect is the show's deep-dive interview style with artists at various career stages, balancing technical musical discussio... more
