這一集要帶根友們回到日本社會派推理大師松本清張寫作的起點，也就是他的出道作《西鄉紙幣》。
這部短篇推理作品將西南戰爭、早期紙幣制度等歷史背景自然地融入故事中，並透過「西鄉紙幣」這個關鍵物件，帶出人性的貪婪與嫉妒、官商勾結、金融詐騙等問題。我們能從《西鄉紙幣》清楚看見松本清張後來一路關心的社會議題，以及他筆下那層層揭開的人性黑暗面，是一篇思想性和可讀性都非常高的作品。

嗨嗨主持人們好～我從第五季慢慢聽回第一季，終於聽完了！
你們是我上班的小確幸，原本是想找比較嚴肅不搞笑的節目來聽，結果完全反效果，常常插花插到笑出來，都怕被路人看到，覺得我很奇怪🤣
雖然跟你們差15歲，但我小時候也是看便利商店的口袋書，所以口袋書不是什麼古物啦～只是我是從恐怖小說開始接觸，從此墜入小說的世界，買了很多小說。橫溝正史的書買了好一陣子但我還沒看，所以那幾集就先跳過了～等我看完再回來補聽！
很喜歡Lucien唸得英文還有搞笑的部分，也喜歡 Troy的知識淵博～以前就覺得自己的興趣很冷門，沒有朋友可以聊，以致於聽到你們的節目後就愛上了，好像有朋友一起討論的感覺。
