Really fun story set in the satanic hysterics time. The story is super fun and immersive. Great acting from John Hamm. Highly recommend
It’s somewhat off putting that they chose to trivialize a real story into a “Feel Good Middle Age White Guy” redemption story will over the top silliness. If they were going to use a real person’s name they should have tried to honor his story.
This was very well done. It was acted out well and had a good story line that was fun and entertaining. The narrator( Dungeon master) I thought was the best part with the dice rolls.
Great idea for a series, and as always with QCode- the performance is impeccable. I think this show drags on with not enough events happening to keep the show interesting. I also wish they took the show a little more seriously. There are too many parts where the show is trying too hard to be funny/goofy.
This series is awesome. As a DM and a podcast listener, I enjoyed this so much. The story is great! Awesome listen!

Exploring the intriguing intersection of Dungeons & Dragons and real-life events, the content immerses listeners in a dramatized retelling of the missing person case of Dallas Egbert III in 1979, interwoven with the contributions of game co-creator Gary Gygax and private investigator William Dear. The podcast uniquely combines elements of fiction with true crime, illustrating how societal perceptions of gaming, particularly during the 'satanic panic,' influenced the narrative of D&D and its impact on culture. With a mix of humor, drama, and historical insight, it appeals to both fans of tabletop gaming and true crime enthusiasts by shedding light on the complexities of identity, acceptance, and creativity.
