Someone is changing all the streetlights in Pepper Heights, Cleveland. The color of nighttime is shifting. Everyone thinks they know what happened at the Pepper Heights Zoo… But do they, really? Dane, a spun-out musician spending the winter in Cleveland, Ohio, has two main goals: keeping his job at the Pepper Heights Zoo and trying not to waste all his time on Grindr. What he doesn’t expect is to get swept into a story about dreams, about forevers, about flickering lights, about unexplained deaths, about relentless change, and about the parts of ourselves that we wish other people knew to look for. Oh, and also a murderous zebra.

I love a messy queer narrative. The writing is so lyrical that you almost don't notice as it slips into actual song - the music is absolutely gorgeous. Truly tragic there's not going to be a continuation.
While I didn’t like it due to personal tastes in genres I can recognize good writing and this is amazing in writing and sound editing. I loved the first episode and enjoyed the rest even if I didn’t like it overall. Also this is a great lgbt story and I love those.
Listen, it’s not usually the kind of story I like. I don’t like romances, I don’t like musicals, and I’m more into something with a horror vibe. But I plowed through this and was genuinely shocked how much I liked it. The music was fantastic, whether atmospheric or an actual musical number. The characters were incredibly well fleshed out, and I enjoyed all of them so much. And the story? Wonderful. Even the romance, oddly enough, I found engaging. Over all, fantastic work. This is literally my favorite podcast, I’ve listened to it probably five or six times all the way through
Got three episodes in and stopped. The story wasn't going anywhere. Based on the podcast summary, all I know at this point is about the zoo and Grindr. The dream had suspense potential, but these episodes spent no time on it. The rest of the summary sounds like this podcast could be interesting, but I'm not willing to spend more time on it.
