Let's talk about and obsess over Dragon Quest! The 35-year-old JRPG series has its hooks in us, and we're okay with that. Austin played through the whole series in a single year and is blogging about it, and Beej is discovering and adoring the series right on his heels. From character spotlights to deep dives into mainline games and more, we hang out each week to rave about Dragon Quest and celebr... more

This year is the 40th anniversary of Dragon Quest, and we are talking about what we hope to see and what we expect to see during the Dragon Quest Day presentations in May. We're hoping for DQ12, like every fan in the world, but what else do we think ... more
Let's go back. Way back. Back to the very beginning. Well, not THE beginning, but pretty close. Super Mario Bros was one of the very first games either of us played, and it was fundamental in shaping who we were (are) as people. For real.
We go through the history of Pokemon Red & Blue, from our perspectives as we experienced it when the games were new. This is a new subseries of episodes we're going to be doing regularly, going over the games that made a difference to you--and us--ov... more
This week, we're playing a game. Austin has put together a great list of true/false questions about Dragon Quest (and about us IRL) to see if BJ knows which are true and which are false. Many laughs and much fun ensues. Play along and see if you can ... more

I can confidently say that this podcast is responsible for getting me to buy DQXI and then play the rest. I’ve relistened to the podcast three times now to current. I love uncle BJ and Austen, their chemistry and the humor they bring to the show is almost nothing like any other podcast I’ve listened to. Straight up wouldn’t be the same without them. I hope they continue for as long as they can/want. Keep up the amazing work guys, I hope one day you guys will be big enough to go out to convention... more
This has been one of my very favorite podcasts for many years now. If you’re a fan of Dragon Quest, JRPSs or even video games in general, Dragon Quest FM is essential. Austin and BJ do an excellent job each week covering a variety of topics related to Dragon Quest and other JRPGs. Give them a listen sometime. You won’t be sorry.
My new favorite podcast! Love Dragon Quest please never stop the show! Slimes for life
Just like any Dragon Quest game, this podcast is super comfy. The two lovely hosts, Austin and BJ, are your friendly party members as you explore everything DQ.
The episodes are as colourful and varied as Sylvando's wardrobe, from mainline game deep-dives and character spotlights, to chill discussions and quizzes designed to highlight BJ’s terrible memory. Discover the history and development of the series, weird facts and mysteries, how fan translation projects work, and much more.
