  • Great addition to your limited content

I am listening to Sam’s VOW set reviews. He goes in descending order of Game in Hand Win Rate from 17Lands. The best moments are when he disagrees with the win rate data (or maybe more accurate to say he doesn’t think the win rate reflects the power level of the card).

You need to know the set by heart because Sam doesn’t read every card out loud to you. When there’s not much to be said about a card, Sam doesn’t say much. Both much appreciated.

Efficient. You will learn something. Recommend 1.... more

  • Must Listen for limited players of all skill levels!

In Sam’s podcast he jokingly refers to his content as “the lecture” before he starts taking questions. I think that is a really great description actually since his presentation really reminds me of a professor patiently explaining complicated content to students. I am a casual player who has been listening to a lot of podcasts to try to up my game in Arena Limited Ladder. There are a few good ones worth listening too but Drafting Archetypes is the one I believe took me from being an okay drafte... more

  • Fantastic Drafting Education

Sam’s a genius and downright mesmerizing to listen to. I consider myself an all right limited player; not insanely competitive but I like to feel like I know what I’m doing. I’ve listened to Limited Resources for years (and more recently Lords of Limited), and I have to say Sam’s podcast has felt new and educational and is making me think about the game in ways I haven’t before. I think the podcast is deceptively instructive; while Sam gives great deep dives on specific archetypes in a format, t... more
