Moderate, erudite, insightful guests. Rare gem these days.
Samantha needs to explain the naturally receding ice sheet for the past 12000+ years prior to fossil fuel use and it’s link to current ‘climate change’
Also, Xi has stated that his people come before transitioning to non fossil fuels contrary to Biden who’s playing politics risking our energy system, economy and the security/ welfare of the US.
It’s an excellent show with an remarkably knowledgeable host who pulls in very good guests…but it’s not a podcast about trade, not even loosely. World Economics might be a better descriptor.
Lacking any discussion on the impact of increasing the national debt on inflation, the increasing difficulty of selling our debt at reasonable interest rates, the drag of the debt on the economy etc

Ms Gross neglects to explain why solar & wind energy are now less expensive than oil. The reason is government incentives, tax credits, and government financing - all with tax payer dollars. Couple this with Biden’s anti fossil fuel agenda and tax payers are hit with a double whammy - I now pay 50% more at the pump than 2 years ago.
Our energy policies are now controlled by the same incompetents who brought us a failed education system, ongoing 8% inflation, the Covid debacle, pending recession,... more
