Awesome classic who reviews. Love this podcast they are spot on when it comes to all things Who, More Please!!
Are you new to classic Doctor Who? If you are, let Steven, Dan, and Col take you through the best of the best. A lot of fun!
I absolutely love this podcast. As a Dr Who fan this podcast is absolutely brilliant. It’s fun and really informative. I recommend this podcast for any one who loves Dr Who.
Wasn’t expecting much, but really, really enjoyed this. Informative and funny. Well worth a listen. Keep up the good work guys.
A really good opportunity wasted. There is one host who is decent and clearly wanting to take it seriously and give good insight into each episode, but the others poorly articulate their assessment and bumble around looking to make a contribution that is simply devoid of much depth.
Really cool podcast, hoping to see more content in the future
One of my favourite Doctor Who podcasts, I think I’ve re-listened to the entire back catalogue 3 times, always entertaining. It’s obvious that Colin, Dan and Steven are great friends, and this really comes across in the banter and humour. The guys are so knowledgeable about Doctor Who, and really deep drive in to the backstory of each episode, and the cultural references. I also love the cameos from Bridgette, and her off the wall views. The interviews with Andrew Cartmel and Christopher H Bidme... more
Such a great idea for a podcast. Always a real treat when a new episode comes along.
Nice chat among the lads but Bridget must go. Her section just detracts from the important stuff and she adds NOTHING. Have to fast forward through her nonsense.
Interesting super-fan conversations, but there's nothing about the way they present the stories that is helpful to — or even aimed at — new fans. In fac, its the opposite: Many episodes begins w/ geeky deep-dive discussion of showrunners and writers as if you already know who they are, what other stories they wrote, etc. And they apparently expect listeners to have already seen the story being discussed, even though the show's mission statement is ostensibly to persuade new fans to watch these ... more
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED “Doctor Who” podcast! I’ve been a Whovian for over 12 years, but strictly New Who. The idea of delving into Classic Who, with its revolving door of doctors and companions and not-exactly-contemporary production values, was too daunting so I stayed away.
“New to Who” changed all of that! The hosts Dan, Steven, and Colin, along with some really wonderful guests, bring clear-eyed and spirited analysis to their celebrations of iconic Classic Who episodes. They do such an exquis... more
This podcast is just lovely, enjoy the style, the insights, the easy interactions and of course the content. Doesn’t matter if you’re New to Who or revisiting old friends - give it a listen. Thanks guys.
This podcast doesn't even have to be for people who don't know a lot about classic Doctor Who--it just provides great recommendations in general. Highly recommended for people who have only seen New Who, need an entry into the show generally, or have already watched classic Who and just are looking for some good episode recommendations.
Look, there really is no excuse for not listening to it.
This is my favourite Who cast. The guys are well-informed, naturally funny, engaging and wonderful company. Unlike other podcasts that are presented by somewhat irritating fanboys who “think” they are funny the folks here are a joy to listen to.
A great listen full of interesting insights and a true love of the show. Love the different segments and want more episodes!
