  • Ep 542. Another really important one, but ...

As a frequent visitor and user of the Tidewater for recreation, this one strikes home. So I hope you can follow up on something. We can "warn" folks like me all we want about using the waterways ongoing. But what will be the impact on the bald eagle, osprey, etc. and other wildlife that reside there or migrate thru?

  • Half a million acres?

I listen to this podcast often. I appreciate the points you’re making. I sure hope you’re right that public lands will not be sold, but they continue to add land sales in the 11th hour. Could you explain more about the purpose of pretending they might sell off land? It’s extremely unpopular here in Idaho (and everywhere as you’ve said). But it doesn’t seem like a fake out when this is literally the only way they could ever do it - sneakily, last minute, through reconciliation and with a congress... more

Opening up more land for hunting and fishing and resolving a critical water-rights dispute at a Kansas refuge demonstrated how conservation can be balanced with community needs and regulatory processes, reinforcing the importance of collaboration with senators and agencies.
EP 547: Aurelia S. Giacometto, 17th US Fish & Wildlife Service Director
Q: How did Aurelia transition from the private sector to a leadership role in the Trump administration?
Her path was shaped by a mix of hands-on policy work, leadership in corporate affairs, and a readiness to serve—she moved from Monsanto into federal service, then into a deputy role before becoming the agency head, driven by a belief in practical, principled stewardship rather than politics.
EP 539: Davos Sours on Climate Policies (ft. Marc Morano)
Q: What are the consequences of dismantling the CO2 endangerment finding?
Morano explains that if the Trump administration can abolish the CO2 endangerment finding, it could prevent future regulations and keep control over environmental policy, but failing to do so may allow subsequent administrations to reinstate harsh regulations.
EP 539: Davos Sours on Climate Policies (ft. Marc Morano)
Q: What does the withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accords mean for the environment?

Q: What can be done before the lawsuits are filed?
People can write letters to the editor, make social media videos, and testify against the bills currently being heard in Richmond.
