Great episode. When you tell someone they did something wrong, but aren’t yelling or cussing at them, is called a scolding from where I am from. Edit: I apparently forgot to press the submit button, so I dont know how old this comment is
Dispatches from Myrtle Beach is EVERYTHING a podcast should be-entertaining, though-provoking, and even educational. Charles and Link allow listeners to settle in for a listening experience that’s comfortable and inviting for all ages and backgrounds. It has become a family favorite for both my husband and our two kids. We’ve even recommended it to several of our friends. I highly encourage anyone considering this podcast to give it a chance.
Dispatches from Myrtle Beach hits very close to home. My dad was born in Wichita KS and spent most of his life in Jackson MS. He passed a couple of years ago due to his long battle with Alzheimer’s. Hearing Charles southern drawl reminds me of my dad and the banter between him and Link makes me think of my dad and how I wish I could have banter like that with him. I love you guys. Thanks for all the laughs. LOL
Listening to Dispatches from Myrtle Beach feels like sitting on a porch swing with a tall glass of sweet tea while two old friends share stories you’re not supposed to hear. It’s warm, funny, and full of that Southern charm that makes you feel like family—even if you’re eavesdropping. The banter is sharp, the storytelling is top-notch, and the laughs come naturally. Just be warned: some tales are best kept between us listeners… so, whatever you do, don’t tell Nana.
I get excited every week when I see a new episode open. I love seeing what a healthy relationship between a father and son can look like while laughing the whole episode. I’ve been listening for 3 years, and can’t wait to listen for 3 more!
