  • Interesting!

So far so good! Karl Ravech has always had such an authentic energy about him and it comes across through the podcast. There is so much nonsense in youth sports right now and I like the angle they are taking with this.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

David Ross Opens Up About the Most Memorable Moments of His Career
Q: What was the most memorable non-game moment during the 2016 run and why?
He cites the moment when teammates and coaches acknowledged him after a pivotal play, describing the emotional lift and sense of belonging created by the team's collective support.
Jeff Nelson Shares the Impact of Winning Four World Series
Q: If you're evaluating a high school pitcher today, what are the first three things you look for before velocity even enters the conversation?
Genetics and athletic lineage, overall athletic ability, and the ability to project future development, with velocity still a major consideration but not the sole determinant; mechanics can be taught, but raw athletic framework often sets the ceiling.
Dusty Baker Opens Up on Highs and Lows from Life in Baseball
Q: What led you to write Crossroads and what do you hope readers take away?
The memoir traces a lifetime of challenges and triumphs, aiming to offer hope and honest reflection for people facing their own crossroads.
Dusty Baker Opens Up on Highs and Lows from Life in Baseball
Q: What is the most valuable advice you received from a coach?
The best advice was simply: don't lie to me—be honest so coaches can understand and help you, which builds trust and progress.
Jim Schlossnagle Shares Keys to Success; Talks Why He Left TCU
Q: What is the most underrated trait in a player that never shows up on a stat sheet?
The ability to handle adversity and stay consistent, especially as they navigate failure and the SEC's high-level competition, because true leadership and performance show up in how a player responds to setbacks.
