Episodes blend scholarly analysis with on-the-ground perspectives, often tying historical context to today's strategic challenges—from major power competition to regional flashpoints and diplomacy's practical limits. A notable strength is the consistent access to senior diplomats and renowned historians, which helps listeners understand the incentives, tradeoffs, and personalities that shape policy.
