Really enjoyed the episode with Makor CEO, Brooke Bibeault. I came across your show on a link she shared. Great episode. Have it on my driving playlist to listen to more episodes in the future.

  • Informative podcast but the host needs to use a or headphone

Sound quality from the host is poor. Sounds like he is streaming on a Nokia 3210. If he got a standard pair of headphones it would even be much better.

But an enjoyable podcast otherwise with informed guests!

  • Highly recommend!

I left a career in exploration geology about 3 years ago after moving back to the U.K. from Australia but Rob's excellent podcast really makes me miss the industry! I highly recommend this podcast for graduates and established mining professionals alike.

Copper in the Kingdom: Building Talisman Metals from the Ground Up
Q: Great. What are your thoughts on the first phase of fieldwork at Fougnar and what you're seeing on the ground?
Tim explains that Fougnar's sediment-hosted copper deposits show surface outcrops with potentially commercial grades around 1% copper and 1 ounce per tonne silver, and that the uniformity of mineralization within the sediment layer supports a favorable drilling نتيجة. He highlights the reduced initial risk due to geology, and outlines the planned systematic geophysical surveys and trenching to guide a large drill program.
The Great Silver Bull: Unpacking Supply Deficits and Investment Potential
Q: What has driven the shift in silver's market dynamics from 2020 to today, and where do you see it going in the next few years?
The shift is driven by a persistent industrial demand that has outpaced supply, especially from solar and electronics, combined with investor interest reacting to gold's run-up. In the next three to five years, I expect silver prices and silver stocks to move higher with volatility, driven by margin expansion for producers and potential consolidation in the space; the lower-risk producers may see the first benefits before juniors, and price levels could test new floors with possible retests of multi-decade highs.
Reprocessing Chile’s Legacy with Halo Minerals
Q: What is Halo's outlook for the next 12 months?
The company is fully funded for at least 12 months, focusing on updated dredging studies, flow-sheet optimization, continuing permitting processes, and exploring maritime concessions to unlock offshore resources, aiming to move toward FID and construction.
Reprocessing Chile’s Legacy with Halo Minerals
Q: What was the thinking behind the London IPO and how did it go?
London provides access to a sophisticated investor base experienced in natural resources; the IPO raised four million pounds, with proceeds earmarked for DFS optimization, dredging updates, and BFS framing to support a confident FID.
Reprocessing Chile’s Legacy with Halo Minerals
Q: What are the main challenges to succeed with this tailings project, especially around permitting and community engagement?
Key challenges include maintaining a strong social license, executing robust on-ground stakeholder engagement, and leveraging local contract miners and in-country teams to manage execution risk, while ensuring environmental commitments (arsenic reductions) are met and transparently communicated.
