Strange choice to pick someone like Simon Briggs as an interviewee. We are all well aware of his obsession that the future of British tennis is Jack Draper. What he (and the interviewer) can’t seem to grasp is that Raducanu is the player with global appeal, therefore, people are interested in her. We’re also no longer interested in Briggs’ personal vendetta against Raducanu. He doesn’t understand what tennis fans want at all.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sandra Zaniewska
Q: How do you manage the team around a top player to maintain harmony?
Chemistry within the team is crucial; we adjust the lineup as needed, sometimes reducing the number of people to maintain a cohesive environment and ensuring everyone works toward the same goals.
Michael Joyce
Q: What drives Katie Boulter's improvement and how far can she go?
The coach describes Katie's high peak level, her ability to compete with top players, and the plan to sustain improvement through consistency, fitness, and smart scheduling; with the caveat that Grand Slam breakthroughs depend on depth and timing, but the potential is substantial if momentum continues.
Sally Appleton
Q: Why do you think you get on so well?
We've always been incredibly close and have a very similar sense of humor.
Sally Appleton
Q: How much are you traveling on the tour?
I'm travelling on the tour pretty much full time now.
Claudio Pistolesi
Q: What made you decide to focus on coaching?
My experience as a player and the realization that I could still compete through my players fueled my passion for coaching.
