The episodes with Rennae and Petko are the best of tennis podcasting. Caitlin on the other hand is tough to listen to and but I endure it to get to Rennae’s insights. Her obvious and predictable biases against specific play styles (eg Sinner) suggests an amateurish approach both to tennis and to critical commentary. Comes across as limited and exclusionary, supposedly antithetical to her values.
Love Rennae and her insights and overall vibe but don’t really understand Caitlin’s role and am just sick of commentators who only care about tennis when Carlos Alcaraz is playing.
It’s insufferable listening to you two talk about Zverev. Where’s the evidence? Caitlin talks like she played on the tour. She’s a tag along. This podcast has gone way downhill.
I await each new episode with great anticipation, make a cuppa beforehand, and settle in. Sometimes I listen while gardening, but then I can’t easily look into what’s being discussed. Just live every bit of this!
I love your podcast and wish they were certainly more frequent. Enjoy the topics, conversations and especially the candidness. I can’t agree with you more every time you bring up (now w/rome & RG) how the tourneys can’t figure out how to make sure the seats behind are filled. I say if they’re not filled by the 2nd game bring people down from the tiers. It is ridiculous. I loved the conversation w/Daria Kasatkina waay back too btw. Love it when you are w/Petko too.
