Joe Rizzo started this show to help fill a void left by the shutdown of society during the coronavirus pandemic. Though it was about our national pastime baseball, it really was a way to bond and connect with all of us. Through illness, family loss, worries over friends health, he preserved and came out stronger the other side.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ty Cobb Picks His Favorite Players Today And They Are Not Who You Think
Q: If you were playing shortstop for the Mets today, what would you do about the team right now?
I'd aim to optimize the lineup around players who understand the game, like situational hitters and players who spray the ball to all fields, while acknowledging that modern pitching requires strategic management and smart, disciplined hitting.
Ty Cobb Picks His Favorite Players Today And They Are Not Who You Think
Q: So Ty Cobb, what would you hit today in 2026?
In 2026 I'd likely hit around 330, maybe 340, drawing on a disciplined approach but accounting for stronger pitching and different balls; power would come with era-adjusted swing decisions, and I'd still value contact, placement, and baserunning.
We Asked AI Babe Ruth About Shohei Ohtani on Opening Day… His Answer Was Wild
Q: What do you think about this upcoming season of 2026?
Babe Ruth responds that Ohtani is a hell of a ballplayer and that while Ruth acknowledges Ohtani's talent, he notes the different realities of their eras and the added challenge of playing both ways under modern rules.
