The findings provide reassurance that intensive glucose therapy, when carefully monitored, may not significantly increase the risk of falls in elderly patients; however, individualization of treatment remains crucial.

Q: Can you please tell us about this parent trial and about the new questions being addressed in your current study?
The STRIDE trial demonstrated that semaglutide at a dose of 1 milligram weekly improves functional capacity in individuals with Type 2 diabetes who have symptomatic peripheral artery disease.
