This podcast is lacking in depth and lacking in substance, and the Sarazanmai ones infuriated me to no end. I feel like the podcast lacks crucial understanding of the context of kappa mythology, the side story of Reo and Mabu, and of Ikuhara’s other works in order to make a meaningful discussion of it. Ikuhara intentionally pokes at tropes and cliches and engages in blatant metaphors and queerness, as well as repetition (usually with a transition into a more serious tone later on into the show).... more
These guys do a great job of diving into ALL KINDS of anime! I love their sense of humor and unique perspectives. This podcast helps me feel conected while watching my shows :)
